The story is good, really interesting. Divided into four segments, the story follows its course to completion.
  The first segment is the introduction of the main character and what drives her to move inland.
  The second segment would be what the protagonist knows Marnie, which character is the lever for the third segment.
  The third segment is that of the great discovery. Commenting on it would be spoiler, so I just decided to say that this is where the movie starts to be worth it. After this segment the anime leaves for clarification and closing. What can we consider a complete segment or one two small segments that complement each other.
  The last segment clarifies the mystery created in the third segment and ends the protagonist's summer. In this segment we have the revelation that can be speculated at the beginning of the fourth and end of the third segment.
  The characters are cool. In themselves, the most worked are the protagonists as expected. The assistants are cool. Some charismatics and others are just extras with dialogue.
  The relationship between the protagonists seems a little too fast at first, which would be a problem if it were not for the justification presented at the end of the feature film.
  Speaking a little about the protagonist herself, she is not in itself a very good protagonist, but is still necessary for the overall of the feature. Without her Marnie wouldn't be as good as she is.

  The animation of the anime is good, not much to comment was the minimum expected from the studio. The animation doesn't have many featured scenes to comment on.
  We have CGI in animation, in scenes that could easily have been replaced by a few fewer frames.

  The design is cool. Character design is a bit tiring as Guibli doesn't usually change that much. It's like a colorful studio animation, but with little color saturation. The same goes for the colorful studio.
  The scenarios are beautiful, really undisputed, Guibli knows how to make beautiful scenarios, what compromises the scenarios here are the cuts and angles chosen by the story-boarder. Lifeless angles aren't bad, just lifeless. But as everything has its exception, from half to end the film can improve this aspect. The angles have improved, and the colors become more vivid.

  The music is reasonable, nothing special in the music. There are some violin compositions that stand out from the others, especially in the window scene. However reasonable.
  Sound mixing is good, no mistakes to comment on and no special scene to comment on either.
  The closing song for being original film work is worth your comment here. By the way the music is very good, composition in the English language with just a background guitar, beautiful.

  The voice acting is cool. The problem of voice acting is in a specific scene. This is where the tone of the voice used in the conversation does not fit the context of the scene, let alone the distance between the characters.
